Located in beautiful East Tennessee, ApoCom was founded in November 1993. In 1994, ApoCom obtained a license from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory to commercialize, market and sell one of the worldâs most recognized DNA sequence analysis and database comparison software packages, called GRAIL. Today, ApoCom Genomics is the worldâs leading supplier of the Grail line of bioinformatics software. The Company has licensed the Grail line to numerous multinational research organizations, including some of the biggest companies in pharmaceutical, agricultural and biotech research. In addition to the GrailEXP™ line of genome analysis products, ApoCom has developed and commercialized numerous specialized software tools for the analysis of complex eukaryotic genomes as well as pathogenic microbial (prokaryotic) genomes. The company has also entered into an agreement with Rescentris to market and distribute their exceptional line of electronic notebook products.  ApoCom has also been contracted to internally mine the genomes of a number of significant bacteria and viruses.  Finally, ApoCom Genomics is active in the assessment of complex aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and in conducting advanced risk analysis on systems exposed to chemical pollutants or biological pathogens.
