Features:
  • Feature Analysis - In addition to genes and their splice variants, GrailEXP™ also locates candidate exons, PolyA sites, CpG islands, repeat elements (both simple and complex), and EST alignments.
  • Evidence Data - GrailEXP™ models its genes by searching databases (public or private data) of known gene messages (cDNA, mRNA, EST, etc.) and builds the gene models based upon the corresponding alignments.
  • Multigene Modeling - GrailEXP™ is a "multiple" gene finding tool in that it predicts all gene structures within entire sequence.
  • Plugable Organism Support - You can use GrailEXP™ to model genes in all eukaryotic organisms including human and mouse.
  • Multiple Alignment Database - Multiple evidence databases (private and/or public) is supported. You can specify which database to be used in the modeling process.
  • Serial & Parallel Mode Processing - By default GrailEXP™ runs in serial mode, but can be given a list of machines to perform its analysis in parallel.
  • XML Support - GrailEXP™ supports BSML, a highly recognized and an emerging industry standard for linking genomic sequences to biological function.
  • Advanced Visualization - GrailEXP™'s advanced Java-based GUI highlights in detail all relevant genomic features.
